Jessica is a Southern California native who needed a lot of attention growing up, so naturally she found the stage! At first it was all sorts of dance but then she broke her ankle, gained weight and became a comedian by third grade. Let’s fast forward to high school and her first paid acting gig – a one liner in South Coast Repertory’s A Christmas Carol. She became obsessed with an inappropriate cast member which led to more darkness. The solution? Join an improv and sketch comedy troupe freshman year of college and reek havoc! Despite all the prestigious training USC’s School of Dramatic Arts had to offer, Jessica’s expansion and talent was fostered most with Commedus Interruptus (said troupe) and student produced Musical Theatre Repertory shows.
After earning her BA in Theatre and Minor in Communications (cuz why not??), Jessica and her BFF Briga Heelan graduated and formed Trust Fall – a comedy troupe with three other of their best friends Jimmy Fowlie, Josh Duvendeck and Daniel Acker. They’ve rehearsed in front of dumpsters in sketchy alleyways all around Los Angeles and performed at The Second City, IO West, UCB, The Groundlings and for children who didn’t understand them. Jessica’s a graduate of The Groundlings School and has continued her training at Berg Studios.
She and her main squeeze, Matt Shepherd, are currently producing, writing and starring in their upcoming web series #RELATIONSHIPGOALS. Keep one eye open for it people! And roll it around while you’re at it! Also, please hire her for really cool, exciting and well paid acting jobs. She’s worth every penny, and then some.
